Date Office Established EGC was first formed in 1994 as a Sole Proprietorship and Incorporated in 2008.
Firm’s Size and Ownership EGC is a woman, minority owned, disadvantaged small business, with 23 years of experience in the environmental, geosciences, and construction/ construction management consulting services field. EGC is owned 51 percent by Mrs. Jacqueline F. Hefner (Physical-Environmental Geographer) and 49 percent by Mr. Rene G. Hefner, P.G. Firm’s Personnel EGC’s organization is very strong technically and stable, with no turnover rates. Once professional personnel join EGC, they do not leave. Since 1994, EGC has maintained the same staff, only to add new personnel when required by projects or growth.

EGC has 21 Network Professional regional offices throughout the United States to provide our clients with the best professional, technical, and field support within a timely and cost-effective manner. Professional Technical Staff Background All of EGC professional staff has worked for large, national environmental/engineering firms or the federal government as civil servants performing project management of million dollar projects associated with regulatory compliance, geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, engineering, remediation, and risk assessment/toxicology, construction and construction management. Also, EGC personnel have many years of field experience collecting geological, hydrogeological/hydrological, and environmental data, and sampling for various chemicals of interest.
EGC personnel have over 25 years of experience. They have been part of the environmental field since the early 70s. Further, some of EGC’s personnel and Network Professionals have been involved in molding and shaping the environmental regulations and field methods, such as low flow sampling, monitored natural attenuation, remedial process optimization, etc. EGC personnel stay with EGC because of our investment in our people. EGC’s greatest assets are our Professional Personnel and Clients. Without either one, EGC would not have continued to exist!
